Impossible

You are not a self-improvement project,

For,

To hold this belief,

Is also to hold that belief,

That who you are,

Is not enough,

Though,

I know this is cheesy,

I’m self-aware enough to know,

This poetry which I write,

Is not,

Going to change the world,

Or anything,

It’s more of a statement for myself,

An expression of the simple appreciation,

Which is all it takes,

That’s all,

The more I treasure this feeling,

The more it become utterly convincing that this is all that is needed,

I can work as hard as I want,

But it won’t bring me anything,

Worthwhile,

If I’m not,

At a basic and fundamental level,

Totally in love with life,

I hope that makes sense,
